![]() What do you think I could do to improve in that aspect? This time however, I really would like to spark a new conversation. Like I said, I have very weak conversation skills. In our previous conversations, there was always a hook that I could use to start once gain, but this time was different. I had to go out, she had to go to bed and we stopped right there, with she saying that if I needed help with anything, she would give me a hand. Anyway, she used to ask me questions and we were going back and forth during a couple weeks.īut sometimes, a conversation just dies. If it was a guy that I had interesting conversations like that, I would be happy in the same way. Recently though, I met a really interesting person. That may be why most of them stopped messaging me after a while. I'm the type of person that only know how to question people. I met some Japanese people through the internet and I've been talking with them in an attempt to make new friends and also practice the language. It's been a while since I had to talk with another person informally like I did recently, but it was at exactly that time that I was reminded of how boring I am. I decided to study abroad for a year in Japan and I'll be going there soon. I did something that may help me a lot in that regard. I've been living like that for the past couple years and I really want to change that, because I know it's not healthy. Most of the things I know about are pretty niche and if given the chance, I could talk for hours about it, but it's pretty rare for me to find another person that share my interests. That, allied with the fact that I'm extremely insecure are probably part of the reason why I can't talk. That means I basically live inside of my head. ![]() Moderators have full discretion in making decisions they deem to be in the best interest of the subreddit.
